How to make ice cream at home. 🍦

Enjoy some homemade IceCream this holiday season from the comfort of home.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream

  • 1 cup whole milk

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar.

  2. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is hot but not boiling.

  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. Pour the mixture into a large bowl and let it cool to room temperature.

  5. Once the mixture has cooled, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  6. When you’re ready to make the ice cream, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.

  7. Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours or until firm.

You can also add your favorite mix-ins like chocolate chips, nuts, or fruit to the ice cream mixture before churning. Enjoy your homemade ice cream! 🍦
